Prospective mini-ACADEMY applicants are kindly requested to acquaint themselves with the information below.
Applications to attend this event are only open to HERS-SA alumnae who have previously attended the seven-day HERS-SA ACADEMY, the April mentoring programme in the USA or the HERS Summer Institute in the USA.
FEES:
The fee for the mini-ACADEMY 2012 is R6000 + R840 VAT= R6840. This INCLUDES all mini-ACADEMY costs, materials, refreshments, lunches and official programme dinners on Sunday 15, Monday 16 & Tuesday 17 April. This fee EXCLUDES delegate travel and accommodation costs (on a bed & breakfast basis) for which delegates are responsible.
Upon receipt of your application, HERS-SA will invoice your institution for your fee.

An important part of the programme is networking and delegates are advised to stay on site to derive the full benefit.
Rooms have been provisionally reservedon a first-come first served basisfor HERS-SA mini-ACADEMY 2012 delegates until 15 March 2012 at the Upper East Side Hotel, Brickfield Road, Woodstock, Cape Town. We urge you to contact the Upper East Side Hotel as soon as possible before this date to book your room. Superior Queen rooms have been reserved @ R825 pp inc VAT and breakfast. Check-in is from 14h00 on day of arrival and check-out is by 11h00 on the day of departure. Delegates will be responsible for making their own bookings and paying their own hotel accounts. Please note that partners, children and pets cannot be accommodated at the mini-ACADEMY.

TRAVEL AND AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
Delegates are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the mini-ACADEMY. The hotel does have a shuttle bus for which there will be a charge. If you would like to make use of this facility please confirm bookings directly with the hotel.
